Bromley Pet Sitter - Purr-fect Kitty - Dog Walking in the Snow

Bob and Buster meet their match over the park! After 30 mins in the snow Bob's legs and feet were completely covered with snow bobbles.

Well the snow fell in earnest today but I managed to get out to all my pets because with foresight I kept my 4x4 Subaru when me and my husband were deciding which car to sell earlier on in the year. It's good when things work out so well and I gave myself a pat on the back when all the dog walks were finished. Here they are over Beckenham Place Park which looked magnificent today. Buster had his winter coat on and tough guy Marley braved the cold without one. They absolutely had a ball in the snow and I enjoyed it too!

And one month ago in the same park here's Bob (Schnauzer), Dusty (Lab), Buster (Wire-haired terrier), Poppy and Paolo can just about be seen and Boris (Pointer)

Its all dogs this time but the Christmas bookings are rolling in for the kitty cats so expect to see the balance weighing heavily in the other direction when I next get a chance to put up pictures.

Bromley Pet Sitter - update - Holiday Care for Cats and Dogs

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying the Autumn and thinking about your pet sitting requirements over the Christmas period. It's never too early to book for Christmas and New Year!

I have a few hours free today, so thought I would update my blog with a few of the lovely pets I have looked after recently. The pictures above are of an adorable lab called Skye. I think Skye is the shyest labrador I have ever met. I was asked to look after her for 5 days in the owners own home for two hours a day. For the first two days Skye barely came near me and looked very scared, quietly laying on her blanket or at the bottom of the stairs. By the end of the 3rd day I had managed to get Skye into the garden, albeit briefly. On the fourth day Skye was having a lovely play with her ball and on the 5th day she was barking in the garden for me to come out and play with her and had a lovely time. Another pet won round :)
This is Molly (Black and White) and in the background you can see her brother Frank slinking away.
These two adorable kittens are Tiptoe and Daisy. They are both the same age but one is much bigger than the other. I always have lots of helpers when I am looking after kittens - I wonder why?
This beautiful cat is Bob. Bob really loved sitting on my lap and always had a nice stroke every visit.
There are quite a few piccies of Colin on this blog. He is not a well cat and his medication increases each time I pet sit for him. Colin lives with Chloe who I seem to have forgotten to photograph, so Im sorry about that Chloe and next time I will put a picture of you on the blog to even things up.

These dogs are walked together whenever possible and have a lovely time running about in Beckenham Place Park. The wire haired terrier is a new dog I'm walking and his name is Buster. Buster loves retrieving his tennis ball and as you can see by the first picture he gets very excited at the prospect. Paolo (black) and Poppy (white) are regulars and are getting on very well with Buster. They are also joined by Marley if I have an extra pair of hands.
And last but not least is Reggie. Reggie jumped up into the sink when I visited him and I thought he wanted to drink from running water. I was quite shocked when Reggie started playing with the water and didn't mind at all when the water went all over his fur. I've never seen that before!

Bromley Cat Sitter and Dog Boarder

I finally have some time to update this blog. I didn't realise how much time and effort it took to keep up a blog, and I'm only trying to do it once a month! The weather has now turned for the worse and luckily for me the last two days, work has been a bit slack and I've had a chance to catch up on jobs that need doing at home and on some paperwork. I even managed to catch up with some friends this morning, which made a really nice change. Anyway I'm not complaining, I love my job and here are some pictures of pets I have been looking after recently.

These two lovely cats are Zoe and Betty. They are outdoor cats who I have looked after once before. The first time I looked after them they were hardly ever around but this time they were at home when I visited and allowed me to have some cuddle time with them.

These two beauties are Zanzibar and Pemba. They are very difficult to tell apart but one is much shyer than the other and one has a little white mark on his nose. Their owner always leave a programmable timed feeder out for them but, as I explained when I went round there, I can only operate the simplest of feeders so I have to take the top off and fill all the compartments for the whole day. As you can see, it doesnt bother them at all!

Twinkle and Tilly are new clients and very different cats. Twinkle lives mainly outside in the shed where she is very happy doing her own thang, and Tilly is very homely and likes to snuggle up in the understairs cupboard in the warm. I hope I look after them again as they were really friendly and enjoyed my daily visits.

These two beautiful beagles came to stay with me for just over a week. Archie came to stay for a day while the beagles were with me. The two beagles, Tom and Toby, were completely obsessed with food. I couldn't leave anything within their reach at all. On day one they snatched some toast out of my daughter's hand while she was watching tv and when it was time for Archie to be collected by his owners, I put his bits and pieces well out of reach of Tom and Toby but by the time I had opened the door to Archie's owner they had managed to get up to his bag, knock it on the floor and eat all of his treats and half a bag of food. A scene of mayhem greeted Archie's owner when I went into the kitchen and in the middle of it stood Tom and Toby looking like butter wouldn't melt. They certainly were mischievous but I'd definately have them stay again, they were adorable! Archie was a cutie and was a definate hit with my daughter who posted lots of cute pictures of him on her facebook account.

Heres a cheeky picture of Bob who decided to sit on my shoulder while I was watching tv. I've looked after Bob quite a lot lately and I love the way he trys to squeeze into small spaces, he really doesnt like being left out :)

That's all the pictures I have at the moment and I'm really pleased with myself because I have managed to finish this post just as the first family member has arrived back home for tea :)

Dog Boards - August - Bromley Pet Sitter, Purr-fect Kitty

I have looked after many dogs this summer, boarding and walking, but just like with the cats their photos were on my phone which was damaged when I dropped it in a sink full of water.
I have a lovely photo of Ruby, an old Border Collie I looked after while her family were organising a massive summer party and Buster a very lively black labrador that took a liking to my son.
I also have these pictures to put up and from now on I will make sure I only take pictures on my digital camera.

This is Snowy a little pug puppy. I don't usually look after dogs that aren't housetrained but I made an exception for a friend who had to make last minute arrangements. It was hard work and he had quite a few accidents in the house but he made up for it by being such an adorable, cheeky little dog.
When he went home we all missed him scampering about. Marcus was very pleased to have his dog home and eventually asked about his gerbils which he seemed to have forgotten I was looking after as well:)

I am looking after two beagles, Tom and Toby, at the moment. The owners warned me about their obsession with food but I didnt realise the seriousness of this until they snatched a piece of toast out of my daughters hand, ate a whole loaf my husband had just baked and put on the kitchen surface to cool and later managed to open the bin in the kitchen and retrieve things out of it even though it was much taller than they were. I make sure now everything is out of reach and that they are in another room while we are eating.
Apart from that we are really enjoying looking after them and will miss them when they go home.

August Cats with Bromley Cat Sitter, Purr-fect Kitty

Finally I have a moment to update my blog with pictures of the lovely cats I have looked after during the summer. If you do not see a picture of your cat on here it's because I dropped my phone in a sink full of water during one of the pet sits and the phone is now kaput along with all the photographs. These pictures were taken on my new phone which I am still getting used to and to tell you the truth I am completely frustrated by it. In future I am going to take pictures on my digital camera, which is so much easier to use. My phone is a Samsung and if anyone can help me with downloading pictures from it to my computer, which I did successfully once but now don't seem to be able to do now, please email. I will be most grateful.

First up I had the pleasure of looking after three lovely moggies in Orpington. Their names were Missy, Lizzy and Tigger. I had a lovely picture of Tigger on my old phone :( but here are Missy (long haired) and Lizzy (shorthaired).

The cats were very affectionate each time I came to see them and left me a nasty surprise one day when I found a half eaten mouse in the conservatory. Yuk!

All these animals were in one house in Penge. It was the first time I'd looked after chickens so I was a bit apprehensive. The owners told me what to do with them and how easy it would be to get them into their sleeping area. 'They just go in on their own really.' That's what I was told. The chickens had other ideas and as I chased the last one around the garden I just hoped none of the neighbours were watching :)

Paddy surprised me this time because it only took him one day to get used to me again. It's always nice when you win round a nervous cat :) Sooty lived with Sweep (picture above). They got on really well and loved playing in the garden. They were out most of the time their owners were away, usually chasing things outside and one day were stalking something right at the back of the garden which I later saw was a squirrel. He got away of course but it was a very clever piece of teamwork.

That's it for the cats. I looked after loads of other cats but I've lost all the piccies :( Damn mobile phones!
