Welcome to my blog.

Here's Lenny. I'm now walking Lenny off lead and with other dogs. He is such a good dog and loves his walks over Beckenham Place Park. He gets a good run around with the other dogs and depending on how long it takes to get around the park and how busy I am, he often gets an extended walk.


I was lucky to have Ziggy come to stay in October and we had a great day out while he was with us. I've been walking the Thames path, starting at the Cotswolds and ending at the Thames Barrier. Ziggy's visit coincided with one of the 14 mile walks. He enjoyed every minute of it and was the only one with energy at the end of it. He had to be whisked straight into the bath when we got back and you can see him lying on the blanket at the end of his bath, the tiredness finally catching up with him.



Here's a new addition to the Purr-fect Kitty family. His name is Louis and he's in the process of being house-trained. It's not very successful at the moment but Louis is absolutely adorable. His owner says he likes his walks but I havent seen much evidence of that yet. Time will tell:)




I was asked by another local pet sitter to look after her two lovely moggies while she went away on holiday in October. Here they are in the garden.









Bumble Bee and Gabby were totally different this time I pet sat them. They were so friendly. One of the rituals we had to go through was having a little drink from the tap. They were so funny, getting their ears wet and fighting over who was going to go first. Here they managed to get a drink together. Ah team work at last :)


These pictures are of friends pet's that I looked after during half term. The two gerbils belonged to my friend's son and I had to send him a picture while he was away because he was missing them so much.
The gorgeous dogs below are Cooper and Jen. I looked after them for my friend Sharon while she was away for 3 days in half term.
Here they are over the park playing their favourite game and at home being very good waiting for a treat.

























Here's two pictures of Plum. A lovely oldie. He really liked my visits and loved being stroked. I've put up the 2nd picture of him because i think it looks quite spooky and it was taken on Halloween wooooooo!














I haven't looked after these cats but these are my sisters two cats. They have been trained to walk on a lead and their names are Kiki and Za Za.
They really are adorable Norwegian Forest Cats and may soon have a modelling career so look out for them on adverts!










I had the pleasure of sitting the two kittens that live just down the road for a weekend in October. They are going out now but evidently hadn't mastered pushing the cat flap open as it was held open with a cookery book:) Fishy was oblivious to everything and looked just the same, unlike the kitts who had almost doubled in size.

Here they are eating their dinner. It was very hard to get a good photograph of them as they always moved just as the picture was being taken.









Here's two regulars Colin and Chloe.

They are both quite old and still a bit unsettled in their new home. Next time I pet sit we are going to arrange for them to go outside to the garden during the day. I think they will be
happier that way.








And last but not least another Purr-fect Kitty regular Chutney. She is a gorgeous lap cat and likes nothing better than getting on my lap and staying there for most of the 30 mins I am with her.

Looking at the weather for this month it looks like I'm going to be walking my dogs in the rain. So hey ho. Pet Sitting is not always as cushty as it seems :)

Bromley Cat and Dog Sitter

This year is certainly flying by at a pace! September and people have started to ring up about Christmas bookings already. Looks like Im going to be a very busy bee on Christmas Day!
But back to September and the lovely cats and dogs I have looked after.

First up, a picture of Harley. Harley is growing really fast and this picture shows you just how long he is getting. Harley likes his walks now and we have progressed to the park. I no longer have to carry him back either :)


I was still walking Rigsby in September but then his owner started taking him into work, so unfortunately I'm not walking Rigsby at the moment. I miss our walks, but I have been assured by Darren that he will need me in the future so I'll be looking forward to that.




This relaxed cat is called Puffy. This turned into quite a strange pet sit, because half way through the pet sit Puffy had to be moved to my house. He had to have two insulin injections a day and his owner wanted him moved to Westerham, which is quite a long way from my home, but still wanted me to continue petsitting. I couldn't travel that far twice a day so I suggested he came to stay with me until she returned.Puffy soon settled in as you can see. That's him on my bed looking very much at home. He liked to sleep on either my daughter's bed or mine at night so after the first few days he was allowed full run of the house.
Puffy stayed for about 5 days and we all miss him, even my grumpy husband :)

This is Buster. A lovely black labrador. He has boarded at my
house twice now and I'm looking forward to him coming to stay again in November. He stays for a short time when his owner has to be away for a day or two.




Marley and Noah are two Purr-fect Kitty regulars. I've just finished a pet sit with them. Their noses have been put a little out of joint because there's a new baby in the family but they are adjusting well.



This is Gabby, playing in the sink and Bumblebee (the ginger one). They lived with a hamster with a very grand name, Alonzo Moralez Slawinski. I just called him Al:)




Another new addition to the Purr-fect Kitty family is Algie. He lived next door to Israel and Bobby in Crystal Palace. When I went to visit his owner I found out that Israel and Bobby had moved back to Australia so that was a bit sad. That's Algie looking at me through the cat flap looking a bit confused. He soon got used to my visits and we spent many a pleasant half hour watching
Jeremy Kyle. His choice of course:)

This is Chutney. I looked after Chutney a very long time ago and
I was very pleased when his owner emailed and I got another chance to go and see him. And last but not least below you will see two Birman kittens called Coco and Sophie. A delight to look after, so friendly and very playful.









I will end on a sad note because a couple of days ago I learned that one of my client's cats, Winston (half bengal) had been run over by a car. His owner is really upset and finding it very difficult to come to terms with. My heart goes out to her and I hope she finds comfort in remembering all the nice times she had with Winston. He was quite a character and I can imagine completely dominated the neighbourhood. RIP Winston.

Bromley Cat Sitter - August Post

Welcome back to the Purr-fect Kitty blog.

Here are a few pictures of Team Purr-fect Kitty for August.

Here's Lenny being very well behaved - as always! Or does he know I have treats in my rucksack - I think so :)




Here's Rigsby. I still walk Rigsby twice a week - or does he walk me? We get to the park very quickly and have a slow stroll back.
Rigsby is a very good dog and loves having a play in the garden before the walk and after. As I leave he walks over to his bed and I feel quite sad leaving him :(




This is Louis and Layla. I'm actually going to say good-bye to them this evening. I've looked after them for two weeks, so I'll miss seeing them.





I was very lucky that Misty came to stay with me for two days because her owner was having an important party and she had a guest who was very allergic to cats. Here she is investigating her temporary home.





These two lovely cats are Sparky and Daisy.
Sparky loved to see me every day but Daisy was very aloof and spent most of her time in the garden.








This is Colin. He's very old and a bit out of sorts because he's in a new home. He's slowly getting used to it but like any 'oldie' he's not too keen on change. He had a companion called Chloe.


And another oldie was Jessie. Jessie looked a little bit worse for wear and not much was known about her. She was a lovely cat though and she is lucky her new owner loves her to bits.













August was definately a month for oldies because I also looked after Spooky and Basil. They were also in a new home but had settled in really well. The guinea pigs had a portable home so they were none the wiser :)





There were lots of pets in this home. 6 cats to be fed, three rabbits and one guinea pig. A lot of the cats were rescue cats and they were all so different and had lots of likes and dislikes. Their owner had put their photos on the cupboard doors to tell me where their bowls had to go :)

Harley was a georgous cat who loved to be stroked quite vigorously. I really enjoyed visiting Harley because he loved all the attention.




And last but not least .....


Baloo and Bagheera - no prizes for guessing their owner's favourite film!
They were a bit miffed they couldn't go out during the cat sit but enjoyed me coming round and loved the attention. During the cat sit we had our mini heatwave and I always found them lying in the conservatory which was absolutely stiffling. I don't know how they stood the heat in there, but they seemed to love it :)
